    Summary

If there is one thing that he has learned, it is that surviving is hard. By itself, choosing to survive and continuing to exist will be one of the hardest things to accomplish. By the next day he’s surprised he didn't die the day before.

He should be dead by now, right?

Didn’t his story essentially end the moment he was handed his death sentence in a diagnosis? Or was that where it began?

He’s not sure if he believes in beginnings and endings.

Does it matter how an ending starts when the end is near? Does it matter who is there and who isn’t, what he endures or overcomes? Does it matter how hard he tries, or how much he cares?

People like Izuku survive until they don’t.

Is that Living? Is it Surviving? Is it Death?

    ...What's the fucking difference?

    Summary

Izuku never liked the way his mom had stopped talking to him when he was diagnosed quirkless. How his dad left the second he learned of it, how his friends turned on him, or the burns on his arms and the loneliness.

But if he had to choose between that and what he had to face in the hands of one of the most dangerous villains in history, he would gladly accept the taunts, burns and loneliness.

God knows he'd do anything to escape.

    -

    Or,

Izuku gets kidnapped by All for One. Intrigued by his fine skill with analyzing quirks, the villain aims to shape the boy into a leader of men - the leader of the League of Villains - in order to destroy the hero society. But when Izuku writes letters in hopes of being saved, letters, which are found by a certain raven-haired underground hero and his loud husband who will do anything to help, Izuku begins hoping for a better life.

    Summary

Izuku is a vigilante, and frankly it's the only good thing in his life. Or at the very least, it's brought about all of the good things. He loves nothing more than patrolling under the stars with Eraserhead at his side and Tsukauchi a phone call away.

So even though his civilian life might finally be amounting to something, now that he's getting into UA with a chance of becoming an actually-Licensed hero, he can't give his vigilantism up.

Equally, Aizawa isn't giving up on his Kidilante. The kid's been his for three years already, there's no way that those half-completed adoption papers in his desk drawer are going to go to waste. If only he had time to breathe beyond keeping his Kidilante safe, alongside his new class who are apparently villain magnets. It's going to be a long year.

(Written to fulfil every part of my pathetic little soul that just had to write ''angsty! but kind! little shit! Izuku who's an insomniac Quirkless vigilante that Aizawa is 100% going to adopt if only he could figure out his real identity but he refuses to force it out of him now because it took him years to earn that trust dammit and he'll wait longer if that's what it takes'' idea, but mine.)

    Summary

Izuku Midoriya learns the hard way that heroism isn’t immune to burnout — or addiction.

It starts small. Sleepless nights. Pain he can’t shake. A prescription bottle with his name on it. But painkillers don’t fix what’s broken. They just make it quieter.

    Until it isn’t quiet anymore.

Until his friends notice the empty stares, the missed calls, the way he’s wasting away right in front of them. Until Katsuki Bakugo decides he’s not letting Izuku destroy himself — even if it kills him to watch.

And in the end... it nearly does.

This is a story about addiction. About love. About failing so hard it nearly ends you — and about choosing to get back up anyway.

Side effects may include: withdrawal, relapse, recovery, regret, grief, rage, devotion, and two idiots too stubborn to stay down.
