Summary
Clark and Bruce are exes who don't agree on who broke whose heart. (Bruce broke it first when he never let Clark stay the night. Clark broke things off when his hero duties got in the way of their relationship). Both are too stubborn to admit they still care about each other, too wounded to try to reconcile.
Superman and Batman are an unstoppable force and an immovable object, founders of the League and the one person the other trusts more than anyone. But the truth they don't know about each other keeps them from ever being more than that.

This is a Superbat fic in which they have been allies for around 15 years but for their various reasons never shared identities. It's also a Bat-Fam fic and plays fast and loose with any established canon for the sake of the story.
