Summary
"You spoil them too much," Ratio says, eyebrows furrowing as he gently loops the red scarf around Aventurine. He glances over at the three catcakes currently in the midst of building a snowman. A snowman made in the likeness of Aventurine given that Aventurine's signature hat and sunglasses were perched atop the snowman's head. The teal scarf Aventurine had been wearing earlier is now looped around its neck.
Or Aventurine and Ratio take the catcakes out to play in the snow.

Summary
Kaveh wakes up to the speckled ceiling of Bimarstan and groans.
There is a certain murky quality to the thoughts and memories he tries to parse through from the night before due to the painkillers he had been given. Other than the dull throb on his abdomen from where he had let the hilachurl’s flaming arrow hit him, he feels fine.
His last-minute decision seems to have worked.
Or, Bimarstan also offers a temporary roof overnight if you meet the requirements. Kaveh works through some things.

Summary
It has become a habit for Alhaitham to wake in the morning to the smell of coffee and breakfast in the air. The gentle pitter-patter of steps and quiet humming in the kitchen as Kaveh sets about cooking for the two of them.
The next morning is much the same. That is until Kaveh makes a move to grab at Alhaitham’s coffee mug to hand to him and the mug falls from his hand and goes crashing towards the ground.
The quiet tranquility of the morning is broken as they both stare at it.
Alhaitham does not get his usual good morning kiss nor his goodbye kiss before he leaves for work that day.

Illuga has been getting sick. Not in the usual way, like the winter cold he might come down with from the chill and taxation of being constantly out in the dead of Nod Krai's night. It is something else, something different. Growing inside of him, instead of spreading like an illness should. He thinks he knows what it is.
As it continues to ail him, he will pretend it has nothing to do with his long-standing, buried affection for his friend and fellow Lightkeeper, Flins. For as long as he physically can.
