Summary
Six months after the Avengers defeated Thanos, no one is trying to adjust to a post-Blip world more than SHIELD Agent Darcy Lewis. It’s difficult though, what with life as she knew it forever changed and the appearance of an emotional trauma that she’s only kind of, sort of dealing with in therapy. Oh, and there’s the not so small matter of her feelings for one Bucky Barnes. But it’s fine. She’s trying, and as Steve would say, that’s all that matters.
Bucky, meanwhile, is dealing with his own complicated trauma and just trying to find his place—and purpose—in the world for the first time in 90 years. He’s also trying to navigate a life without Steve, deal with Sam’s steadfast yet irritating presence, and the fact that the woman he’s in love with doesn’t feel the same way. It’s a lot for a 106 year old, but he’s trying.
They have no choice, however, but to confront their trauma—and unsaid feelings—head on as they work with Sam to once again save the world. And, perhaps somewhere along the way, they’ll both learn that the ending of the life they knew isn’t such a bad thing. That it's really only the beginning of a new one.
