“What are you doing, Jayce?” Viktor raised an eyebrow at the sight of his new partner fighting against a mattress that had no intention of moving through their lab’s door.
It has only been a month since Viktor and Jayce started working together, in a whirlwind of experiments, shared dreams, and far too much coffee.
For the first time in his life, Jayce has found someone who truly understands his passion for science! Viktor is so brilliant… and so secretive! Why does he always avoid talking about his past? What kind of ghosts still haunt him from the depth of Zaun?
Viktor, for his part, never expected to work with anyone... least of all Piltover Academy’s golden boy! But Jayce is nothing like the arrogant Pilties he met before... He’s earnest and stubbornly kind, making him coffee every morning and dragging a mattress into the lab so Viktor won’t destroy his back when they are too tired to go back home.
Somewhere between Hextech experiments, late-nights on their shared bed, and fingers brushing on coffee cups, Viktor begins to feel something warm and unfamiliar in his chest.
