Summary
The prosperous kingdom of Bannolach teeters on the brink of war. Despite the long-standing enmity existing between humans and orc-kin, the threat of invasion by brutal ogre hordes forces a treaty between the races. Desperate to protect his beloved daughter, Princess Ailish, King Colban defies the court's prejudices and hires the only warrior capable of the job: Oriun Thorngrir, a legendary, fierce, green-skinned orc. Dr Áine Rohan is an anxious, disorganised, self-professed goth and history nerd who has just relocated to take a dream position as a research fellow and lecturer at Harome University in Willow Vale, a town with the biggest multispecies population in the West Midlands. Unlucky in love, Áine considers herself ‘romantically inept,’ but quickly finds herself nursing a serious crush on the taciturn minotaur man working alongside her in the Faculty of Classics. The stern professor’s behaviour leads Áine to believe that her feelings are unrequited, but as the two get to know one another, she finds she may have been mistaken.
Not set within the exact Cambric Creek world by C.M. Nascosta but heavily inspired by this series, and by Morning Glory Milking Farm and Blue Ribbon Romance specifically.

Set in an indeterminate year of the Medieval times, in a fictional European country based on Germany.

Summary
According to ancient legend, a divine minotaur beast, son of the mighty god Feraristus, dwells in a labyrinth on the outskirts of the kingdom of Karoly. In order to appease the gods and spare their kingdom from the devastating storms of yore, the Karolyian people sacrifice a virgin woman to the minotaur annually. Sihdolain possesses the gift of divination – sight beyond this world, but as a prophetess in training under the High Priestess at the temple of Khorudos, she is failing to meet her milestones. Prophecies predict that Sihdolain is destined for something more and must be sent to the labyrinth in order to save the Karolyian kingdom. But is the minotaur a ferocious, brutal monster, or has the truth been twisted over time?
