Summary
When Azula is nine, she becomes an only child. She hears the Fire Lord call for Zuko's life, and in the morning, her mother and brother are gone. Azula may be young, but she isn't naive. She knows what happened to them.
Which makes it all the more surprising when Azula tracks the Avatar down and fights his group of peasant friends, only to find herself staring into an eerily familiar face.

The thing about time is that it's relative. If something happens in one moment it also happens in every moment throughout all of its existence.
That is to say that when a fraction of a fraction of the King slips into Avery's mind on New Year's Eve, Avery also wakes up a year prior with omnipotence, a world's worth of grief, and his best friend's real-life address burning in his head.
Along the way he picks up a baseball bat. It's a necessary provision for smashing Derek's laptop into a thousand pieces before he can so much as launch Minecraft.

"It occurs to me that - ah - I may have forgotten to mention something, earlier," says Jon, somewhat belatedly.
It also occurs to Jon that the traditional time to mention this particular detail would be before letting one's boyfriend shove his hand down one's pants for the first time, but, well. In his defense, he'd been so dreading the goddamn sex talk, and so relieved to finally have it out of the way, that discussing certain specifics of the act had somehow slipped his mind entirely.
"You think?" says Martin, in that particular tone of fond incredulity that Jon finds so reassuring. The tone that means 'you've done something ridiculous and I've decided to find it charming.'

Summary
The first time Jon feels Martin’s erection pressing against him while they're kissing, Jon thinks, oh, nice.
That's a bit of a surprise. Normally his reaction would be more along the lines of oh, great, now I'm going to be expected to do things. But Martin so clearly doesn't expect Jon to do anything, aside from possibly bite his head off, judging by the way he jerks away from Jon like he just brushed against a hot stove, mumbling a hasty, "Oh, god, sorry."
He looks...flustered. Some rarely-seen part of Jon’s mind rears its head and informs him that Jon would very much like to fluster him some more.
