AU/AR.
When Naruto was practicing the clone jutsu on an open training ground while Konoha was hosting the chunin exams, a Suna genin informed an eight-year-old Naruto of the fact that he was using way too much chakra after seeing the disastrous clones. As a result, Naruto asked the Sandaime for chakra control exercises. Graduating early at the age of 8 1/2, Naruto is sorted into a different team and his entire career turns out different.
Four years later, a scythe-wielding, deadly Hijutsu using, chakra control obsessed and emotionally closed off Naruto is allocated to the newly created team 7 under Hatake Kakashi with Uchiha Sasuke and Haruno Sakura.
Naruto couldn't be more annoyed.
OR
In which Naruto takes the pretty basic principle of chakra control and turns it into a deadly Hijutsu, is denied his request to be an ANBU, and forced into a team with two brats, resulting in a Naruto who couldn't be more pissed off. He makes sure everyone knows it. Kakashi is running damage control, Sasuke is an advocate for teamwork, and Sakura is trying. Naruto is not impressed.

Izuku doesn't want to be here anymore. It wasn't always this way, but then again, that's true for most people who live like this. Unlike those other people, he doesn't get a choice in the matter. His quirk, this curse that others call a blessing, it keeps him here no matter how badly he wishes it didn't.
Izuku doesn't want to be here, but he'll go through life anyways. He'll continue, until he finally reaches an end, whatever that end may be. All he can hope is that there is an end, and that he'll be able to stay sane until he gets there.

The gold standard for reader-centric fics. Excellent writing, lots of humour, great characterization. Also features one of the best fight scenes I've ever read in fanfics, and the unique plot element of playing hide and seek with Whitebeard's crew.
Characters feel alive. Great Isekai and hot sex scenes. Main character has a bit of a potty mouth.10/10 definitely reread.

Summary
Izuku has plans for everything.
He plans out what to say to the cashier when ordering coffee, he plans out his homework before even opening his textbook. He has a whole ten-year plan for how he’s going to get into UA’s hero course and get his hero license fully quirkless. He plans for every wild, unlikely scenario he can think of because his anxiety gets so bad if he doesn’t go through every possible outcome, every way his life could landslide into disaster–– but Izuku never planned for this.
For once, he doesn’t have a plan and he doesn’t have time to think of one. All he can see is Yagi-san’s lined, kind face looking resigned as he stares down the villain in his shop. Yagi-san, who is the closest thing to a father figure Izuku has ever had.
Izuku doesn’t think. He just moves.
(Or: Izuku saves the number one hero, gets a hero license way earlier than anyone wanted, realizes that maybe hero society isn’t as great as he thought it was, and everything just kind of falls apart from there.)

Summary
Every supervillain has a nemesis. All for One’s nemesis is a boy who, although he has all the skills required for world domination, continues to use them to be a thorn in All for One’s side.
Solution? Adopt.
It does not go as planned. Now he has a fake nephew who is still determined to take him down (outside of the house, anyway—they somehow manage to be a fully functional family when All for One isn’t doing crime). He’s read plenty of parenting books and none of them explain how to stop your kid from destroying your criminal empire.
OR: Izuku overthinks everything and intentionally gets himself kidnapped by All for One. Chaos ensues.

The Gold standard for crack fics: cracky enough to be entertaining, not so cracky as to require suspension of disbelief or leave you scratching your head. Also excellently written family dynamics.

Comedy gold and just honestly so good. Feel good vibes for rainy days (and good ones!!), to reread within the month. Has ALLLL the good tropes, perfect execution, excellently written and grammatically flawless.
