Summary
Welcome to the Broken Tomarrymort Telephone!
Back in March, during a discussion about the then-newly formed Exquisite Tomarrymort Corpse (coming soon! So exciting!), a few of us decided to play a game of Broken Telephone -- passing a whispered word or phrase around a circle, with it often evolving into something quite different as it goes from person to person.
In our version, the starting person received a secret prompt and wrote a fic based on it. They then created a prompt for the next person by summing up what they had written in a single sentence -- with the caveat that their prompt couldn't use the same words as the prompt they were given. This continued through twenty-six (26!) different authors and artists, each adding their own flair and creativity to the exercise.
Which brings us to now! We're wrapping up the creation part, so it's time to start sharing it with the world. We hope you enjoy what we've created -- we certainly enjoyed making it.

Summary
Interpreting the prophecy to be about the power of true love, Voldemort dies to find it; when he returns a decade later, the Potters and Longbottoms are nowhere to be found.
Understanding the prophecy to be about becoming a horcrux, thanks to Regulus and Severus, Harry and Neville are born and raised by a full family with eight people they all call parents, completely guarded, trained to share a life to protect the other by sharing a secret identity.
Despite it all, love prevails, Tom and Harry find a way to be together.

It's kind of exciting. Sneaking in a boy Mike hates.
Will shakes his head, trying to clear Mike from it for the night. Only when he looks back up at Richie, Richie has this conspiratorial smile on his face, like maybe Will isn't the only one eager to piss off Mike Wheeler.
