    There are very few things that manage to capture Tony Stark's attention for more than five minutes at a time, but a month after deciding to unmask Spider-Man, and he's still reasonably obsessed with figuring out his identity. Okay, maybe a tad more than reasonably obsessed, even by his own standards.

    But at least he has a brand new intern to keep him distracted for the time being. Even if the kid doesn't respond to his own name half the time, and dodges every somewhat personal question Tony throws his way, he's kind of growing fond of him.

    Maybe he really is going crazy.

     

    Or: Peter Parker is confident he can keep his three identities separate. It's not like he has billionaire tracking his every move, or anything.

    With May gone, Peter is an orphan and sent to foster care. He doesn’t stay long, the abuse he receives there becoming too much.

    Despite being homeless, he still puts on the suit, Spider-Man getting him through when being Peter Parker couldn’t. It’s a chance encounter that brings Tony and Peter together.

    Doing the right thing seems easy, but in reality, it’s far from it. Tony is going to make mistakes and so is Peter, but maybe, in the end, they’ll be alright.

    Instant bookmark. The writing is exceptional, incredible in-character writing. I especially liked one scene where they wrote how Tony and Pepper were holding hands, but it was subtle, just background words, but it felt very natural and real.

    Note to self: this is the one with Peter hiding out on top of the silo.

    For the next few years, Peter became his dad’s shadow.

    They spent everyday together, tinkering in the lab, laughing through disastrous attempts at cooking that left the kitchen in chaos, or curling up for movie nights that inevitably ended with Peter falling asleep halfway through.

    It only got better when his dad helped form the Avengers. They had all moved into Avengers Tower in New York, and while it was quite different from his life in Malibu, Peter didn’t mind. He loved it.

    He’d have breakfast early with Nat, Bucky and Steve. He’d get spy lessons from Clint (which mostly involved crawling around in the vent and shooting people with nerf guns). And he’d even sometimes get science lessons from Dr Bruce Banner himself.

    Life was great. Perfect even.

     

    Until Harley showed up.

    Spiderman is being hunted by the Avengers for crimes he didn’t commit.

    Peter Parker just wants to feel loved.

    Will he turn to them in his time of need, or spin a web of lies so deep it may tear him apart?

Nothing in his 13-year teaching career could have prepared Harrington for this, but he knows one thing for sure: ten years ago, he'd stared down into the sightless eyes of a seventeen-year-old girl, and he'd sworn to himself that he would never again lose another student. He's going to do everything in his power to keep that promise now…even if it costs him everything.

    Set during and post Spider-Man Homecoming. A realistic field trip story that also explores the long-term consequences of trauma and responsibility, written by a real-life teacher.
