Summary
Claire and Jack are orphaned after their parents’ deaths. Traumatized and alone, they’re placed with a foster family—a foster father, to be more exact.
Castiel has dreamed of having children, and when the opportunity comes for him to foster a brother and sister, he takes it. Now, however, he’s in over his head.
Cue their social worker, Dean. The man relates to the children after his own parents died, and he and his brother went into the foster system. He knows both sides of the coin when it comes to fostering and adopting, and is determined to help them all.
Over time, feelings develop between the two men. Can they come together despite the turmoil in Castiel's and the children’s lives, or are they better off as friends?

I absolutely loved this! 💕💕💕I didn’t want it to be over!
One of the loveliest found family fics ever. Social worker Dean grounded the story brilliantly as gay divorced pediatrician Cas battled to adopt two traumatised and orphaned children. Brilliant! Addictive!

Summary
Dean’s job only had one major flaw: the one guy who kept sending inspirational quotes with emojis to the workplace chat every morning. The messages were cheesy, fake, and embarrassing, and Dean knew the guy behind them, Castiel, had to be all those things too.
At least until he met the handsome, serious, intense accountant in person.

Summary
‘Who the hell are you,’ Dean demands, taking a step back from the ledge now so he can get a better view of this weird fucking asshole who is fucking up his shit. It had taken him so fucking long to work up the courage to make it all the way up here, and now he finds himself faltering.
‘Good Samaritan,’ the guy answers with the ghost of a wry smile. Dean can’t help but snort at that.
‘Wouldn’t a good Samaritan be telling me that life is worth living, and I’m makin’ the angels cry, and, I don’t know, call 911 or some shit?’ he asks, and he’s only half joking.
The guy shrugs. ‘Bad Samaritan, then,’ he amends, deadpan, and he waves a careless hand through the air like well, what are ya gonna do?

Summary
When Castiel Novak’s aging Volvo sputters its last breath into the gravel lot of Singer Auto Salvage, he expects nothing more than a costly repair. What he doesn’t expect is Dean Winchester - the rugged, grease-streaked mechanic with a sharp wit and a smile that short-circuits Cas’ brain.
One repair turns into two. Then three. Because instead of just asking Dean out like a normal person, Castiel starts “engineering” minor breakdowns in his car just to have an excuse to come back and see him.

Summary
Dean Winchester agrees to a low-stakes blind date to appease his brother. Nothing fancy, nothing serious. But when he walks into a candlelit bistro and ends up across from a quiet man in a trench coat with sad eyes and a secret love for Dostoevsky, the night takes an unexpected turn.
The chemistry is instant. The connection, undeniable. There's just one problem: they were never meant to meet.

Amazing story. So creative.
I loved Cas finding himself as human, building a life with the beautiful drag queens who rescued him from being unhoused. Just an excellent story. -

(A winner in destieldrabbledaily's 30k Fanfic Contest!)
He’s about to put the receipt down, no harm done, when something about it catches his eye. Pen ink, on the back. He flips it around and reads:
With Dean. He shared his pie with me. His smile was radiant.
Dean stares. Reads it again. Nothing’s changed.
What?

Summary
Dean has demons in the form of PTSD and a bum leg, among other things. He and his K-9 partner Sarge were shot six months ago in a drug bust gone very wrong. His brother Sam gets him a medical marijuana card, but Dean can't imagine using it. The guy at the dispensary, Steve, seems nice and helpful (not to mention gorgeous), but Dean doesn't need help.
Castiel owns and runs a marijuana dispensary. He loves helping people regardless of their diagnosis or usage. Which is why he's confused when the same man comes into the shop a few times only to nervously leave again. Castiel watches him limp and he sees the dark circles under his eyes. He wants to help the man with the haunted green eyes escape from whatever hell he's living in.

Summary
"Sam, is there an alternative meaning to the word 'bottom', other than being at the lower end or as a synonym for backside?"
Sam was used to Cas entering the room and starting a conversation without preface; he’d been the addressee of many such questions. Whenever these inquiries were of a purely personal nature instead of being about a case - which they had very few of these days - Sam had also learned to become wary because, often, those topics could get awkward.Bookmarked by LisbethC
