Summary
A cave-in cuts the Player from Poppy and Giblet during another scuffle with the Prototype. Thankfully, Poppy is out of Prototype's claws.
On the other hand, the Player is now faced with having to find their way back up to their friends with the help of a very unexpected enemy-turned-ally.
Because despite everything he's done, he is still a child after all, and as much of a victim of this cruel place as everyone else. He deserves to be saved, just like Poppy, Giblet and the others. Even if they won't be fans of this decision of Player's.
Aka; a self-indulgent fic, where the player saves and adopts Ollie/Prototype, because I am feeling massively maternal towards the poor baby and I have to project this out in case someone might be needing the same. Also, you ever get a plot point idea in the middle of the story and don't know how to get there? YUP. It took me 4 chapters to get to the original point SOBBING

“Shut up you mutt and get up!" The guard shouts, pulling on his arms to get him up. Fluixon couldn’t bite back the pained hiss in time which made the men snicker. “Get your shit together boy, you don't get to collapse like this."
He’s shaken by his blouse. His hair fell into his face and stuck to his forehead, concealing his terror ridden eyes. Fluixon still feels like he's out of air. His knees buckle again but this time the guards hold him thigher.

Saparata doesn’t kill Fluixon at the final duel, instead, he spares him as a punishment. He is sent into new mines built for criminals from both islands where they’re put to work. Fluixon finds himself barely surviving as the reality of the prison is much darker. What will happen once Saparata finds out? Will he let his hatred win, or bury it deep inside to make the right decision?
This work is only about the personas presented in 2.5 season, not the people behind them and It's not written with that intention.
