Summary
There wasn't nearly enough mourning/suffering after Charlie's death for my sadistic taste. Especially after the things Dean said to Sam. People don't just shrug this stuff off. Sam literally makes himself sick with grief, Dean regrets his actions, and they make up in the end. It's painful though.

Sam Winchester had been doing a pretty good job recently at avoiding his hellish thoughts. However, that all comes to a dramatic halt after what he thought was a ‘close call’ on a hunt takes a turn for the worse. The same ‘close call’ that he may or may not have forgotten to mention to Dean.
