He can feel the barriers of Louis' mind descend like the rising of curtains in a theater. He can feel their connection grow deeper as the memories and thoughts infiltrate his mind like a motion picture.
Blue eyes, The smell of the sea, Golden halo swaying in the rain heavy wind, Thin lips and its mischievous grin.
Armand listens to Louis’ breath hitch. He listens to his own heart stutter at the reminder of him.

Louis reminisces the past, Armand does it with him. Louis thinks of his maker. Armand thinks of shades of blondes. Louis thinks of Lestat and Armand thinks of the boy.
Still, Something is in Louis' mind. Armand is prepared for the blow.

Summary
The music picks up. Violins and Cellos and flutes surround them. Armand spins them around again. Now moving across the room's length. The windows fly open one by one as they pass through. The chill wind blows away the candles hanging above their heads.
There is that rush of adrenaline. The sheer pleasure of doing even the simplest things with Armand. But then again, nothing is ever simple between them.
Daniel throws his head back and giggles. Armand laughs with him. Their laughter fills the dead room and it bounces back towards them. The sound of feet tapping against the wooden floor barely audible above the heightening and heightening music. Armand spins them around and then pulls him back into his grip. The world blurs, leaving only Armand.
They dance to the rhythm of music only they can hear. Everything else seems insignificant compared to Armand's arms around him. Armand's breaths. Armand's beautiful smile. Armand's laugh.
OR,
Armand buys Daniel flowers and then takes him dancing. Daniel gets bi panic.

He looks ethereal this close. Brown skin glowing gold under the soft yellow lights from the ceilings. Perfect face marred with incomprehensible sorrow.
Armand takes one shaky steadying breath, exhaling through his mouth. They are so close the cold breath tickles Daniel's nose. Then another. Daniel mimics him unknowingly. He can tell meditation does nothing to ease his nerves. His lips stay parted around the third one. They look so soft. He can imagine them on his own.
Was that a memory too? Or was that his own longing?

It wasn't fascinating, the way the boy didn't know whether to lean into the touch or away from it, confused by the comfort and the pain it offered in equal measures. It wasn't. Armand could do the same thing — did do the same thing, whenever Louis deigned to touch him at all — and Louis still thought he was boring. It couldn't be this that had captivated him.
But that didn't mean it wasn't fun.
