There wasn’t a time Dean could remember that Bobby hadn’t been working as the groundkeeper for the local university which specialised in agricultural studies and botany. Therefore it was no surprise that Dean knew more about plants than the average kindergarten teacher - though it did come in handy when he went on excursions with the kids.

Summary
Castiel Shurley has lived in New York City all seventeen years of his life, and he doesn't mind it, but being in a bustling city every day can get a bit much, and there's only so many new and different faces you can see before they all start looking the same.
That is, until he meets the strange boy with green hair sitting across from him on the subway.
Dean Winchester is just in New York temporarily while his dad is on a work trip, but he and Castiel begin to hang out whenever they can, making the most of the time they have there together.

Summary
In order to retrieve notes that John Winchester forgot to add to his journal in 1994 that are relevant to Sam & Dean's latest case, Castiel agrees to travel back in time. The glimpse he gets into Dean's difficult life as a 15 year old is more than he bargained for, and he and Dean have a lot to talk (and think) about when he gets back to 2009. Will the things he saw drive them apart, or push them closer together? (take a wild guess ;) )
