Summary

When Takumi had asked Sirei to 'fix' Eito, there had been a part of him expecting--hoping--that fixing Eito's cognition would somehow give him his Eito back. He hadn't wanted or asked for Sirei to overwrite Eito's personality entirely, leaving behind someone who just simply isn't made for battle. Someone who needs to be protected.

Summary
He thought back to Karua, the person he promised to protect no matter what. Then, his thoughts drifted to Nozomi and the concern in her eyes as she questioned the path he was taking. Takumi only wanted to save them—dreamt of it and wished for it to the point it became a mantra. Still, he was pathetic, stupid, incompetent; his weakness left him with only one option. A gradual transformation into something his former self would've despised. Perhaps that was why Eito was so drawn to him—even before the drugs.
He breathed in slowly. His head was starting to throb, and his only respite was found in the gentle brushing of his hair by someone he once called his nemesis. Someone whom he loathed to trust, someone he knew he'd forgive again and again.
Takumi made a choice—now he has to live with it.

“Hm?” says Komaeda, and looks down at the grip he’s still got, cold and clammy and squeezed uncomfortably tight. “Oh – that! Of course! You know, sometimes, Hinata-kun – sometimes I forget, when I’m touching you! Because it feels so natural. Like you and I are one, almost! Like we were always meant to be this close – do you know what I mean? Do you feel it?”
“You’re still holding my wrist,” says Hinata.
Komaeda lets him go, and then he touches his elbow, gently, as though in consolation. “With my luck the way it is,” he says, “no one’s gonna be able to kill me unless I let them.”

Summary
Takumi's got his hands full. It's not enough that he's got Eito in his head at all times and sees and hears everyone as him. No, he has to start dreaming about him, and all of the ways they've been together.
Eito doesn't care for Takumi. It was revolting to even think about him having feelings for a monster like that - one that had killed him, no less. Still, Takumi was his, and he wouldn't let anything threaten that. If that happened to look like affection, then so be it.
