Summary
He had fulfilled his purpose. His daughter, his father’s precautionary heir, was finally 18. She was safe, and beautiful and brilliant and would do perfectly in his place once he was gone. Blitzø had the means to run his business without any further help from Stolas. Stella has long since moved to one of their other properties and Stolas knew she would be happy with him gone.
A small smile found its way to his face as his heart felt at ease in a way it never had before. Finally, for the first time in his life he could be selfish. He would get to make a decision that was entirely his own, he may have had no say in his life but he would be able to decide how it ended.

Takes place after the second chapter of Divine Loser - A second part in which Blitze doesn't make it in time to stop Stolas.
"Stolas was gone, he was able to tell the moment that he saw the bullet hole. Being an assassin he was rather desensitized to blood and gore, but this... this was different. This was not some random human or even another demon, this was Stolas. His Stolas. He heard his own broken sob fill the air and felt the sickening taste of bile fill his mouth, barely stumbling over to a nearby plant to expel it.”

“Blitzo, why are you doing this?”
“I don’t know, it’s just… It’s just nice, you know?” He scratched at the base of his horn, glancing at the bathroom door, where Fizz still hasn’t emerged from. He was definitely still listening to their conversation.
“It’s been over a year since you’ve been dumped by they who must not be named so… Are you legitimately moving on or is this just you being insane?”
“Can I get back to you on that?” The other side of the line stayed quiet for a moment before she gave a small noise of confirmation.Based heavily (and in some cases directly) from scenes from Scott Pilgrim vs. The World.

Summary
The sensation didn’t register at first, most likely due to the shock. But after a few seconds, Stolas heard someone screaming, so primal and frantic that the noise made him curl inward. Only after hearing a car horn in the distance did it register that he was the one screaming.
Moxxie and Millie show up a few seconds later in Western Energy which resulted in Striker following through with his final threat, leaving Stolas one eye short.
