Will Graham was the kind of man who got his dogs to safety before killing himself, Alana had pointed out in tears. Hannibal hadn’t said anything. He knew it was his fault. He had pushed his friend too far and now he was gone.
Will Graham found out he was pregnant three weeks before he was released from prison. There was only one possible father and he was a serial killer. So Will played the role of meek, down beaten prisoner perfectly knowing Hannibal would get him out at some point to wind him up some more. For three days he planned his escape and then he, the life growing inside him and his pack of dogs were gone.
Three years later Will returned.

Erend held the note so tightly that the parchment began to crumple under his grip. He could feel the pressure building in his face and it swelled to his eyes. Ersa was certainly a no-nonsense type of woman, and he knew it was because she had run out of tears long before she was old enough to hold a weapon. Their drunkard father never gave her a choice.He was jolted from his thoughts and whatever tears were about to form disappeared at the sound of a gentle knock in the doorway and a voice–her voice.

In reality, she and Draco Malfoy will enter an arranged engagement and bond when Draco turns 17.
As it turns out, the suppression of the Old Ways has weakened magic and if it continues, the British wixen community will die out. These arranged marriages and integration into Pureblood society, following the Old Ways, will help keep magic alive.

With one half of the castle enamoured with him and the other half resenting him for the Dark Mark on his arm, he decided to keep his head low, his grades up, and comply with the strict restrictions the Ministry enforced on him for the length of his parole. It was hard enough to ignore the temperamental, beastly side of him, therefore a plot to exploit the legal system and enact an ancient curse was the last thing he needed on his already heavy and winged shoulders.
