Summary
Emilia’s so nice to others even if she might get hurt, and that's why Natsumi was so captivated by her. In this second life, she wants to be someone who can proudly state their name out loud without any fear, not someone who runs away from the girl that gave Natsumi a lifeline when she needed help.
For once, she would like to be the hero of her own story, instead of some faceless nobody in the background.
This- this might be the stupidest thing she has ever done, but she knows this isn’t something she’ll regret, down the line.
She has had enough of waiting for chances, presented to her on a silver platter. Just this one time, she’ll take all her cowardice, all her weakness and throw it in the garbage. And maybe, just maybe she’ll carve a place out for herself in this new world.
“You think I’m going to let you do this alone, dummy?” Natsumi yells, blocking a strike. She looks at her savior’s surprised expression and smiles fondly. There’s no way she’ll leave Emilia behind to fight someone like that. She’s a selfish person, after all, and-
