“The patient is Adora,” Netossa winced as she spoke. Catra paused.
“You’re fucking- no,” Catra stammered in disbelief, opening the door to the operating room. Catra wasn’t squeamish- she was a surgeon, for God’s sake, she’d seen it all. But Catra flinched as she saw her wife on the operating table, gashes scattered across her body, her head bloody and her eyes shut; unconscious and unaware of just how wounded she was.
Adora was a wreck, her head covered in wounds and face pale as a sheet. Adora’s clothes had been cut open to access to her chest, Catra’s favourite dress of Adora’s torn in two to reveal her bruised and bloodied chest. Catra’s gloves had already been put on, she was in the gear, and the shift cuts meant that Catra was the only cardiac surgeon available.

20 years ago a ship fell out of Blinkspace and crashed into the planet, this ship was the Horde's of Purity. Containing a Clone of Harrison, and a small contingent of soldiers and mechs. Using this he conquered the nearby territories including the Scorpioni Kingdom and the Kingdom of Halfmoon taking prisoners.
The Planetary leaders, a loose alliance of nobles who pilot ancient mechs that predate the first colonial war and the history of them has been long forgotten. Alongside more traditional mechs of the Sorcerers Guild and armies of Etheria attempted to fight back only to end in a stalemate after the Mech Illusionary Grasp piloted by the King of the Largest member of the Coalition was destroyed and it's pilot killed.
The war has been at an effective stalemate for the last 18 years, until a younger up and coming soldier in the Horde's armies named Adora goes on a joytrip and discovers a vine covered mech in the woods, seemingly made of Marble and Gold and calling out to her.Bookmarked by NotMyDestiny

After the fall of Prime, Etheria and the universe are able to experience peace for the first time. The war is over, but frustratingly Adora's body isn't getting the memo. After knowing nothing but life as a soldier for so long, she finds herself still reacting to everyday situations with the sense of urgency of someone at war. She can only feign being okay for so long before she ultimately has to accept help dealing with the effects of trauma, but admitting she has a problem will mean acknowledging that being a hero has done her more harm than good. (Slightly angsty fic about healing, will have a happy ending I promise)
