Summary
The sight of Mike in the hospital bed is enough to break down the walls she had been grasping on to since Max had first told her he had been hurt. His cheeks are bruised, with gashes across his temples and dried blood smeared on his face. El’s knees buckle beneath her just as she reaches the chair next to his hospital bed. She takes his hand in hers and presses her forehead against his palm and sobs.
I started writing a hurt/comfort hospital fic and i ended up with a nearly 9k marriage of convenience fic. Not sure how that happened, but I'm pretty proud of it.

a Mileven modern high school!AU: Not much of a popular girl in high school, El Hopper is surprised to find herself the center of attention of the entire senior class when — after forgetting her cell phone in the girls' locker rooms — her private, totally intimate texts with a contact known only as 'Waffle Boy' are posted all over the school. It doesn't take long for rumors to start spreading, and soon enough everybody is trying to unmask her mystery boyfriend. The cheerleaders think he's a jock, the jocks think he's a college guy, and the potheads claim they don't care but they've secretly got a wager on it being a teacher. Even her dad is trying to get in on the action, putting his detective skills to the test and eyeing every single teenage boy who comes within five feet of her. Only, his identity isn't much of a mystery at all, and her friends can only keep a secret for so long.
