Summary
Over the years, ART and Murderbot's relationship evolves as they navigate kink, trauma, and most terrifyingly of all: sexual desire.
Murderbot experiences violent and sexual intrusive thoughts, and struggles to learn to differentiate this from its legitimate kinky desires as a sadist. ART struggles with trust, honesty, and the fear that it will be rejected if Murderbot sees the depths of both its devotion and its internal dysfunction. They're friends, and they love each other, and they're always going to make it work, no matter how hard it sometimes gets.

Let’s start with the good part.
I accidentally helped Three (who was also helped by Ratthi and Bharadwaj) invent trauma recovery modules for murderbots. ART unhelped at first, but then it helped. I keep saying help too much but I’m not fucking changing it again, it’s been two hours. Anyways.
The bad part is everything else that had to happen first. Sane people shouldn’t get anywhere near a SecUnit’s worst memories, which is what we did so you don’t have to. Though I guess if you need the modules, you do have to. That’s kind of the point.Well, don’t worry about all the atrocities. There’s no way yours can be worse than mine.

I know that this gets a bit too complicated to match what the prompt giver probably was imagining, but once I took the prompt as a jumping off point, I found myself coming up with more and more stuff. Hopefully it is enjoyable, even if the rest of the AU isn't written (yet).)

Ratthi had made sure to comment that for all that the first survey had been a “total nightmare” it was “worth it to have met you SecUnit!” That had given me the same melty feeling in my chest that I’d gotten when Mensah had told me she saw me “as a person just trying to help” back on that first survey together.
I was trying not to think about that though. Not that, or the way my drones captured Ratthi’s grin when he’d spoken. Or any of the melty and soft feelings my humans gave me sometimes. But especially not Ratthi. Because if I thought about him at all, I’d have to think about his blood on my face.”
Set in a mix of the Book Universe & the TV Universe, Murderbot and the PresAux crew are on another planetary survey mission. Everything is peaceful until it isn’t and Murderbot gets trapped in a nightmarish Time Loop like something out of one of its serials. Murderbot is hellbent on saving its humans and breaking free of the loop whatever it takes.
