Summary
After her parents' divorce, Yoo Zoey moves to South Korea with her mom, hoping for a fresh start. When she befriends Hong Mira, the school delinquent, she's shocked by the apparent animosity between Mira and the class president, Ryu Rumi.
Hong Mira was born with a silver spoon in her mouth, and she hates it. She does everything she can to rebel against the expectations of her parents and Namsan's overbearing school rules. She fears her senior year at Namsan will yet again be boring and predictable, until one day, a transfer student comes in to shake things up.
Ryu Rumi has it all. She's the class president and granddaughter of the headmaster of Namsan Girls' High School. Not to mention, she's got the perfect boyfriend to match. However, under the surface of her spotless image lie secrets, and when a new student joins her class, her presence threatens to expose those secrets that Rumi's worked so hard to hide.
When these three collide, will things finally fall into place for them? Or will they destroy each other first?

“Celine,” Rumi tried again, voice shaking as tears she didn’t even know she still had left to shed began to drip down her left cheek. “Celine, I said I love you.”

For once in her life, Rumi wants to be selfish.
Or: HUNTR/X works towards sealing the Honmoon and falls in love along the way. Pre-reveal Rumi, hiding both her patterns and her wants, loves her girls in whatever way she can until she's free (whether that means shielding Mira and Zoey in fights or pretending to be something she's not). She just has to hold out until the Honmoon’s golden. Straightforward enough, right?

Mira didn’t even know what she was waiting for. She told Zoey that they should wait, but wait for what, exactly?
The thought of just coming up to Rumi and going, “Hey, we find your patterns sexy, wanna take off your clothes so we can admire it and maybe have a threesome?” was becoming more and more appealing by the day.

She doesn’t want to. Even if she had tried, it would probably have been impossible – Zoey and Mira have positively caged her in, and she doesn’t think there's a way of escaping. She’s basically buried underneath them.
She… she likes it.
The way they don’t seem to shy away from her, the way both of them seem to seek physical contact.
She doesn’t even think that anyone ever hugged her, before she met her team.
And now, she’s here, between her first and best friends – and Zoey keeps burying her head in Rumi’s shoulder, whenever she laughs too much; and Mira’s legs are pressed against her own, and the taller girl absentmindedly grabs her hand every now and then.She thinks she might like it - being held like this.

In which the Honmoon is more than just a shield protecting the world from demons - it is a net, is a connection, it binds souls together and never lets them go again. And it has chosen. Mira’s thumb stilled on the screen. She looked up, slow. “…What?”
Zoey’s hands twisted in her lap. “Like—not open relationships. Just… not just one person. Have you ever thought about being with more than one person and it still being okay?”
She wasn’t looking at Mira. Her voice was tight, like it hurt to speak. Mira watched her with a furrowed brow, still quiet.
“I feel so guilty all the time. Because I love you, Mira. I love you, and this doesn’t change that, but I see her and I want to make her smile and I want her to hold my hand and I think she’s beautiful and weird and sweet and I—”
She finally looked up, tears shining in her eyes.
“I think I ruined us. And I’m so sorry.”
Mira just stared at her. Wide-eyed. Silent.
Zoey’s heart dropped. “Say something.”
Mira exhaled like she’d been holding her breath for a month.
Then she visibly deflated—shoulders dropping, head tilting back against the wall—and let out a quiet, choked laugh.
“…Oh thank god.”
