Summary
Jimmy is a young prostitute working his corner when he is attacked by a long-term client. He struggles to escape, and finds himself rescued by a mysterious stranger, Sam. Jimmy wakes up the next morning and flees the strange motel room because his harsh life has taught him to never trust in another. A few nights later, Sam pulls up to Jimmy’s corner and buys some of his time. Sam keeps coming back, night after night, leaving Jimmy with the urge to surrender to the irresistible pull he feels towards his savior.
But Jimmy is losing chunks of time, waking up in strange clothes, remembering chilling images as he helps Sam bring justice to those who hurt him in the past. Jimmy is beginning to lose himself, but then he comes back to himself to find that Sam has been badly injured.
Will the arrival of Sam’s friends, Bobby and Rufus, help to save the day or only deepen the confusion? And when will the little voice in the back of his head ever stop trying to convince him to put all his faith in Sam?
And who is the freckled man unconscious in the adjoining room? The one Sam seems so determined to save.

“You’re kidding me,” Dean says flatly.
“Do I look like I’m kidding you?” Missouri asks, raising her eyebrows at him.
“Missouri—”
“Headmaster Mosely to you, boy,” she snaps, and there’s just enough reverb to her voice that Dean’s tail twitches out from behind his ankles and slaps its spade-shaped tip around in front of his knee, tightening to a sharp point. She doesn’t even look down as she adds, “And you’re going to want to put that away.”
Dean slumps into the chair, his black tail draping pathetically off the seat like a dead snake rather than curling itself up properly behind him, and sighs. “Really?” he asks, a little more quietly. “Castiel? You’re asking me to tutor Castiel?"

Once upon a time, there was a blue-eyed wizard who had erred, and in doing so had lost, and lost, and lost, until he had little left to lose.
Once upon a time, there was a Princess of Mondoor, cursed to live as a red dragon. Or perhaps she was a red dragon who had been born in the shape of a Princess of Mondoor. Hard to say.
These were all separate stories.
Until they weren’t.
