Summary
Nightwing is declared dead after a mission gone wrong. At least, that's what the Batfamily buries.
In reality, Dick Grayson wakes up in chains, trapped with a man who calls his torture 'art'. Starved, stretched, drugged, and reshaped into something inhuman, Dick fights to say alive while everyone he loves mourns him.
Wally drowns in grief, suddenly raising a child Dick never knew he had. Tim breaks under guilt, Jason spirals. Damian lashes out. Bruce holds a funeral for his eldest son.
For too long, everyone believes that Dick is gone. Until through some miracle Wally's phone rings from a number he doesn't know, and on the other end is a voice that should be dead. Now the family must race to save the man they already buried, before the artist finishes his masterpiece.

Summary
A kidnapping is nothing new for the vigilantes of Gotham and Bludhaven. It's not even the fifth time it's happened. But as the two oldest brothers are ripped away from the family, it becomes abundantly clear they aren't deal with their usual rogues. Something much more nefarious has found a home in Gotham and does not pull its punches against the vigilantes.

Dick and Jason are both kidnapped and the rest of the family struggles to find them. Resulting torture/medical experimentation and rescue. Hurt with comfort (eventually).

Summary
It was just for one night, Dick reasoned. He’d be fine.
In a family of reckless vigilantes, damaged gear was commonplace. Ripped suits, snapped lines, scratched lenses. The monthly repair costs were ghastly. And besides, he hardly has a need for his distress beacon, anyway.
So… why does he feel so anxious? Why is he hesitating to suit up?
Dick will be fine. What could go wrong?
