Jay is working /with/ the ninja, and hating every second of it. He doesn't trust them, not after Ras... not after the administration... Everyone was always lying to him.
They all keep pretending to know about his past, but what could the pink haired Imperian possibly know about him and his memory loss, and why would he believe her? Did he lose his memories during the merge, or sometime after?This is a continuation to my one shot Jay's new hair. Some parts won't make sense unless you have read that. There is descriptions of torture, but it doesn't get too graphic.

I was blown away by the love I received for my recent angsty ball of Ninjago fanfiction; Just Breathe. So I wrote another one, this time focused on Cole’s time as a ghost. While Cole takes centre stage, there is plenty of Lloyd/Morro angst and Jay/Nya/Nadakhan angst mixed in.
The fic spans from the start of S5 until post S7. It is canon compliant, but focusing on the times in between. S6 in particular is treated from the team’s perspective, so skipped over completely (although the events are eventually discussed).
TW: There is violence, but it is only slightly worse than what you would expect in canon. There is discussions of rape. The rape itself isn’t graphically described, but it comes up multiple times. I will put an author’s note at the start of each chapter that is relevant. -

I thought about listing this as a bonus chapter to Fade to Black, but decided it would work better as a stand alone one-shot. You don't need to read that fic first, however it does slot into that set of head canons.
