AU Ragnarok ending, Bruce P.O.V.
Where Asgard is not destroyed and Bruce tries to navigate life on another planet immediately after Hela's rampage while Thor tries to be the warrior king he thinks his people need and deal with whatever mess his brother's undoubtedly terrible rule has left.
Except... Loki wasn't entirely terrible?
Bruce has only ever heard about Asgard and Loki from Thor, and has heard much about how his people love the Thunderer.
Now he meets someone who does NOT love Thor, and hears a very different take on events and Loki than he ever has before. Why DID Loki invade Midgard and steal the throne of Asgard anyway? Could it really be true there was more to it all than simple jealousy and a rotten nature as he has believed all this time? Does he even dare to ask?(The action mostly happens in the background, this is Bruce P.O.V. helping out the healers in the aftermath.)

Danny feels he should almost be offended if it isn't for the tiny detail that these cultists—who summoned him by using salt and goat bones—assume he is the ghost king. "…Did you seriously confuse me with Pariah Dark?"
The man pauses. "Pariah Dark?"
"Yes! He's like fifteen feet tall, has a huge sword, is a pain in the ass, and has, like, an entire ghost army. I have, I dunno, pre-calc homework in my bag. We are not the same."

This is a continuation of Variation Fourteen in Chapter 7 of my Siberian Variations in which Pietro shows up. A long standing niggle from Age of Ultron hooked together with ideas from Quicksilver in X-Men Apocalypse and the Flash and I couldn't resist putting off doing ReaLife stuff in order to work this out.
There were a LOT of thoughtful comments on the Pietro ficlette. I dedicate this fic to all of them, and gift it to a few in particular.

There should have been nothing remarkable about two people in a busy cafeteria, but Becket takes in the familiar sight of curly hair, brown eyes, and a t-shirt with a science pun on it talking animatedly alongside Actual Anthony Edward Stark and promptly drops his lunch.
He gapes for a solid second, seeing but not believing. It definitely doesn’t look like Mr. Stark is forcing the kid to leave, or firing him, or escorting him to security given the relaxed smiles on both of their faces. If anything, Becket thinks Mr. Stark looks rather proud.
“So, uh, Mr. Stark definitely knows Roomba-Kid,” Becket says and discreetly tilts his head in the direction of the pair.
“Oh my god,” Jess says. She almost sounds gleeful. “Oh my god, he’s not just some random kid. He’s Mr. Stark’s kid.”
