Three days before Sunny is due to leave Faraway, Aubrey wakes up in a world where she has everything she’s ever wanted: Mari's alive, her former friend group is intact—hell! She's even dating her old crush!
By all accounts it should be a dream come true... but it feels like a nightmare.
Can Aubrey accept this new reality? Will this world even accept her? And what happened to the girl whose life she just hijacked?
TLDR: Aubrey gets isekai’d into an everyone-lives AU, swapping places with her counterpart. Angst and fluff ensues (with just a little bit of crack, as a treat).

Summary
While practicing for the recital, Mari happens to notice something that - in another world, where she saw things a little differently and had slightly different priorities - she might not have. Though nobody realizes it, this prevents a certain argument and everything that could have followed it. Now she just has to make sure Sunny's okay, and that the recital goes perfectly. But being a big sibling can be hard, especially for someone like her.
(Or, the one where Mari is autistic. This changes less than you'd think, yet changes everything.)

Retracing his path through the Underground, and forging a few new ones as well, Clover battles his thoughts, suspicions, and memories of events that never occurred, but won’t quite leave him either.

Everybody in ‘Faraway, Indiana’ knew the date of October 6th 1983. They knew of this date weeks and weeks before it came: Sunny and Mari’s recital, a duet they’d both worked hard to perfect.
They would know of this date months and months after, too.
October 6th 1983. The vanishing of Basil Fischer.
Chaos flooded their town overnight, every life affected albeit in different ways. An old grandmother goes senile at the inexplicable loss of her grandson, convinced that he could speak to her through the lights of her house. A caretaker is desperate to find comfort in a closed, empty casket, in a funeral that her patient refuses to plan. A sister only wanted to have a nice picnic with her picture-perfect boyfriend, and instead she found bloody footsteps trailing a path to the woods.
Most importantly of all– three friends grow desperate. On a rainy night, Kel packed the snacks. Aubrey a nailed bat. Sunny a flashlight. Sludging through mud and sticks, vision obscured by a storm, in their search for their friend they stumble on a whole other child.
A child with white skin, striped shorts, and dead, vacant eyes.
A very strange child, with... even stranger abilities.
