Summary
Guys like Eddie Diaz, all grumble, all gloom, all heaviness, all mighnight rain they don't get guys like Buck. Buck who is sunshine personified, so pure, so good. Eddie's always worried he'd taint Buck but he never meant for Buck to gat tangled into fights that weren't his.
Eddie may have underestimated how much Buck loves him and his capacity to forever want to get mixed up in Eddie's mess.
A story of Eddie finally accepting that there's nothing that could ever made Buck leave him.

It's been a hell of a six months; sometimes thinking back on it gives Eddie whiplash. He left, broke down, dug himself out of the hole he created one weekly therapy session at a time, before finally coming back home.
The point is Eddie's made it to the other side so to speak. And what a side it is to be on having an anxious spiral wile waiting for Buck to pick him up. For their first date.
Or, Eddie deserves nice things and Buck will shower him with one flower bouquet after another if it makes Eddie's face split into the biggest grin he's ever seen.

Eddie knows better than to leave cuts and scars across his arms or other visible parts. But that doesn't mean Eddie isn't aware or keeping track of the body count associated with his name in other more private parts of himself.
Or Eddie breaks down and admits to Buck that he wants to come home. Wherever that home may be, whatever it may look like he just wants to go home. Buck picks up the broken pieces Eddie's scattered across the house in the wake of his breakdown and keeps those parts of Eddie safe until Eddie is ready to begin the painstaking process of trying to fit himself together again.
