Connor’s always been aggressive, impulsive, and a whole shitload of other issues. The kind of issues that’ve made your parents drag you from one miracle cure to the next since age 12. The kind of issues that make you slash your wrists before senior year.
Jared’s not sure when he stopped being the too-clingy, too-nerdy kid and became the asshole who laughs at people and kind of hates himself for it. He’s not sure when he started enjoying his parents liquor a bit too much. Not sure why it nearly led him off a roof.
Alana’s the kind of person you’d expect to see making valedictorian then becoming a top doctor. She’s not the kind of person who gets depressed when her grandmother dies. Not the kind of person who does drugs to numb it. Not the kind of person who wants to die. Except she is.
Four kids, all seeming like polar opposites. Kids who in another world may never have crossed paths. But all it takes is a small dose of fate for them to realize that they may be more alike than they seem.

The room is dim, tinted with early morning gray-blue. His brain is foggy, but his body’s too wired to sink back under. Typical.
For a few seconds, he just lies there. Blinking slowly. Staring at the ceiling like it personally offended him. Over the leaf blower, Connor can hear noise coming from downstairs. Muted voices. The coffee grinder. The sound of a pan being tossed into the sink. It’s all too familiar. Things he thought he wouldn’t have to hear again.But no, Trust him to screw up something as simple as dying. Couldn’t even do that right.

Summary
After the battle at the Three Brothers rocks, the Sullys arrive at Awa'atlu to prepare for Neteyam's return to Eywa and to help the Metkayina recover from the catastrophic losses as a result of the hunt for Jake and his family.
Word had spread, however, about a human boy who had travelled with the Avatars and helped bring destruction to villages and Tulkun herds for months. When Spider returns with the Sullys, his decisions while he was held by the RDA come to consequences he wishes he didn't deserve.
He does deserve it, though. He knows this much. He doesn't understand many of the things that have happened to him, but he does know this. Why else would the Sullys leave him for so long?
OR
The one where Jake takes 10-15 business days to swap one son for another and Spider barely makes it back to him alive.

Summary
Lo’ak is shuddering hard with each breath. His lips are pulled back, teeth bared a little. Grey around the mouth. Eyes open but not really seeing anything. But Jake can see Lo’ak’s chest going up and down in big pulls, and all he feels is relief. For a second, that’s all that matters. His son is breathing and alive. But the relief, however strong, bleeds out, and all he's left with is dread because something is very, very wrong.
Or
Lo'ak walks to a beach with his dad's rifle. Jake finds out.
