Max was always pretty angry and aggressive when he lost. Though specifically this time he was pissed at Kyle for fumbling the ball and costing them a lose to fucking Sycamore.
So no one in the locker room thought to interfere when Max had slammed Kyle against the wall to give him a piece of his mind.
….or when it became much more then that. After all no one wants that anger directed at them and who are they to stop a good show as well. Plus maybe this will help Max relieve some stress.

Absolutely gorgeous. I get why this is so big in the fandom. The story telling is amazing. The characters are all so sweet. It’s truly fitting for the story that the Hobbit and lotr tells. All the artwork is incredible too!

Perhaps it is some ill-begotten and twisted loyalty to his old man. Remembrance for a man who they all remember fondly but have not seen in so long. Penance for mistakes made years ago, forgiveness for how it all ended. Or maybe just some love for the little boy they all knew.
