“You're beautiful,” Aventurine breathed.
He reached down, gloved fingers holding onto a golden collar, gleaming maroon in the sunlight spilling through the window. It clicked, secure around Ratio's throat.
Aventurine watched him take a steadying breath. “It fits you well,” he murmured, curling his fingers into purple strands, “Veritas.”
Aventurine proposes a mutually beneficial agreement — stress relief for their upcoming mission in Penacony. What starts as indulgent lust bleeds into more; something he isn't prepared for at all. Dr. Ratio on the other hand is in for a wild ride of self discovery, ranging from bondage to how all-consuming love can feel.

Aventurine watched Ratio squirm, covering his mouth with his hand. Suppressing a smirk, he pushed the UP button of the small remote in his pocket. Ratio flinched softly; everyone else was chatting, not really looking at them – but Ratio knew that if he made any lewd noise, he was done for. Bleeding suns begged him, pleaded with desperation, though Aventurine only tilted his hand and turned the plug’s vibrations up by another notch.
Ratio shook his head subtly, warning him – he's at his breaking point, had been for the past half an hour.
Aventurine ignored it and mouthed ‘come’, and Ratio’s entire body convulsed, curling into himself, a muffled whimper making it past his hand.

Still sorta annoyed, Boothill grumbled, “You’re makin’ it sound like a bad thing.”
Aventurine laughed so suddenly he seemed to almost surprise himself. “A bad thing? Hah! Not at all.” He ran a hand, shining with gold, through his hair. “Not at all.”
After a hostile takeover gets a little…hostile, Aventurine needs to lay low for a few weeks. Luckily, Boothill’s willing to lend a helping hand.

Or: Boothill and Ratio treat Aventurine like a pillow princess should be treated, not letting him do anything during sex… which isn’t something Aventurine is used to, usually taking the initiative and being more of a power bottom. He protests a bit, not really confident if it’s fair, but his dear cowboy and lovely Doctor are not interested in negotiations.

Summary
Aventurine is damn good at what he does: he expertly mixes drinks and charms his patrons with a only a few words and a radiant smile. It's a shame, though, that these skills won't save him from having to work at "Diamond Shackles" and running into a ridiculously captivating hitman.
This is an AU of mine, in which Aventurine works as a bartender at a place with... a few skeletons in its closet. There's quite a bit of blood, quite a bit of soul-searching, quite a bit of romance and smut and a mish-mash of other stuff in a grim criminal setting.

Ratio was getting angry. Sure, dealing with idiots was annoying, but dealing with people completely devoid of logic was far worse. It was also a little scary, he had to admit. “And you expect me to believe you?”
Aventurine gripped the gun’s barrel, pressing it to his own chest. He also leaned in, as if he were going to kiss Ratio. “Why not, Doctor? Life is a grand gamble, and I’ll always be the final victor.” With that, he spun the chamber and placed pressure on the trigger.
”You’re insane.”
”Maybe. Regardless, why don’t we get this show on the road?,”
