Summary
All demons came from human souls in one way or another, because the very creation of them required it. Something couldn't be created from nothing. An exchange had to take place, so if there wasn't a human to begin with? Something of equal value had to be destroyed instead.
Humans weren't made to give birth to demons.
Not like this.
Mi-yeong died when she was 24.
An exchange. A life for a life. A human for a demon. Mi-yeong for Rumi.
Celine does love Rumi, she does, but there's not much room for love when she's filled with so much grief.

Summary
Mira destroyed them, that night, but somehow she still gets to keep them.
She shouldn’t get to wake up to breakfast steaming and ready in a bowl for her. She shouldn’t get to fall asleep in the safety of their arms, tangle in their limbs on the couch, or tuck stray hairs behind the shell of an ear, lingering over the miracle of a simple touch.
The guilt of the crime itself is outweighed by the guilt of such an unbefitting punishment.
Mira destroyed them that night. She should not still get to keep them.
Or:
The purpose for the entire visit slips off of her tongue like a prayer, reverent and pious.
“I never thanked you,” Mira says. “For the night of the Idol Awards.”
Celine stiffens.

Summary
Baby was happy that he made it to this point. Surrounded by love and having a place to call home. He was more than lucky to have partners who accepted him, despite who his father was.
It was fine. As long as they never saw what he truly looked like underneath it all.
Everything would be fine.

Summary
Rumi has made it this far in life only because she´s good at hiding.
The world knows her as the Tiger Princess, a legendary performer baring tattoos mimicking the mighty animals she has made a living of training and showing off, and that´s all it needs to know.
No one needs to know she actually shares much more with tigers.
Especially not the trapeze artist and the knife thrower who takes her in after she runs away from her original troupe
