But everything changes when, running from guards one day, he hides in a magic bookstore. The three owners who seem to take a liking to him are weird, he decides, but he somehow finds his way back day after day.
And hey, if they’re feeding him and he finally has some semblance of stability in his life, who is he to complain?

He was entirely sure that his whole face had to be covered after the hours of fighting, but the fresh feeling of it still made him gag theatrically. “Oh my god,” Wemmbu shook his head, watching the body in front of him slump comically, “he really should have had a helmet.”
