You stared. They were bikinis. Two of them. One was a vibrant emerald green, the other a sunny yellow. They were made of a soft, stretchy material, but there was so little of it. The triangles for the top were tiny, and the bottoms were little more than strings.
"Oh," you breathed, your cheeks heating. "Nami, I... I couldn't."
"Why not?" she insisted, holding the green one up to you. "I saw these in a shop on the last island and thought they'd look perfect on you. Think of it as a welcome-aboard, crew-member-for-real gift."
"I've never... worn anything like this," you confessed, your voice barely a whisper. The thought of exposing so much skin was terrifying. It was indecent. It was... thrilling.
"That's the point!" Nami grinned, her eyes twinkling with that familiar, cunning light. "You're not a princess in a tower anymore, Y/N. You're a pirate. You should try new things. Live a little. Besides," she added, her voice dropping conspiratorially, "a certain moss-headed swordsman might just appreciate the view."

"He flirts with us because it's safe," she cuts in, her tone leaving no room for argument. "He knows Robin and I will shut him down. It's a game. But you? You're different. You're sweet, you're kind, and you look at him like he hung the stars. He's a gentleman, deep down. A stupid, lovesick gentleman. He probably thinks he's not good enough for a princess, or that he'll scare you off if he acts like his usual self."
Her words land like a revelation, a key turning a lock you didn't even know was there. The formal distance... it wasn't rejection. It was reverence.
"So," Nami says, a sly grin spreading across her face. "We're going to give him a little push. A big one, actually." She grabs your wrist and starts pulling you towards the women's quarters. "Come on. I got you some presents."
