Summary
A man in white cultivator robes stood on the threshold, hands shaking and eyes wild, his expression somehow both elated and desperate. Tears streaked his god's cheeks and the warm gaze he turned on the ghost made his mind go numb as his hand fell from the saber.
Xie Lian lunged at him without hesitation and with few steps he was throwing himself at him with full force.

After coming back from dispersion Hua Cheng doesn't remember finding Xie Lian again on Mount Yujun nor anything that happened afterwards. When unexpectedly his god shows up at Paradise Manor hugging him and crying that he missed him Hua Cheng is a little surprised (he panicks).

Summary
The song must have been about halfway through when he felt a soft touch on his head and turned to see Hua Cheng’s free hand gently caressing his hair.
With a small sigh, the ghost took a strand between his fingers and played with it, rolling its ends over the red threaded finger. The white band that kept a portion of Xie Lian’s hair tied in the back was brought forward by the delicate movements and it too got entangled in the other’s hand. As Hua Cheng saw the white band snaking through his fingers his eye creased with longing.
When he spoke it was an almost inaudible whisper. “You really look like…”

After his third ascension Xie Lian is sent on a mission in Ghost City, by the end of the night he finds himself on the dancefloor of a masked celebration caught in the embrace of a very lonely-looking Ghost King. In the effort to keep his mission going, things get unexpectedly steamy but when Xie Lian’s identity is brusquely revealed it is met with nothing short of anguish by Crimson Rain Sought Flower.

Summary
He's tall, slender, donned in all dark, fitted clothes, with long hair held in a high ponytail, long strands brushing his back. The air leaves Xie Lian's lungs in a punch and he doesn't feel any filling them back.
The man stands composed and almost foreign in the middle of the heckling vendors and loud clients, a lonely, tense figure amidst the vibrant mixture of colors and shapes of Ghost City's main street. Xie Lian stares at him with tears already stinging in his eyes, Hua Cheng's body deathly still behind him.
It's a mere second before he starts running towards him.
or: after the meeting at the Gambler's Den Xie Lian sees a man with a white mask and black clothes standing in the main street of Ghost City and mistakes him for Wuming. (Of course everyone is very chill about it.)

Summary
Acquaintances of various nature had come to know him as the God of Misfortune. The nickname took root and spread like plague as it often happened that, when he was spotted talking to someone, that person’s beloved partner could start expecting an unpleasant break-up in the next few hours.
His appearance in one’s closeness was ominous and disaster itself was spurred by the tapping of his fingers on the greasy, cracked glass of a borrowed phone. A text from him was commonly received with curses and spurn: a god of goodwill made grim reaper against his desires. It was no good sign that he often walked around with a broom in his hands as if ready to beat the good luck out of anyone he encountered.
