You're sitting with Deku under the one giant Konara tree with him across from you. You yell at him to show you what's wrong, and he shakily removes his hands from his face. You didn't think you remembered this, but his hands are coated in blood. His blood. He meets your eyes as he coughs once more, but this time two flower petals come out along with the blood. You both sit in complete silence. You don't dare move. The moment stretches on for eternity as Deku looks like a deer in headlights, before he grabs his book bag and bolts. You look down and see a spattering of blood on the picnic table where he was sitting.
