    When Shang Qinghua, at the age of 28, had decided to adopt 4 year old Binghe after his parents passed away without any other surviving family, he’d had many concerns: would he be a good parent? Would he be able to afford being a parent? Would little Binghe be happier if he were adopted by an actual family rather than a caffeinated office rat who’d never even taken care of a pet before?

    Somehow, one concern that had never entered his mind when it really should have was: what would he feed Luo Binghe?

    Or: in which Shang Qinghua develops a huge crush on MBJ, his favorite amateur cook Youtuber, only to end up meeting Mobei Jun, gym owner who likes to cook, at the supermarket. (Luo Binghe does NOT approve, thank you very much!)

    Shang Qinghua has been harbouring a crush on his ex-roommate and current boss, Mobei-Jun, for the past eight years. He has tried every method in the book short of standing in front of Mobei-Jun stark naked with a banner that says “Would you like to fuck?”, but Mobei-Jun remains oblivious to his very homosexual feelings. Having enough of an unrequited love, Shang Qinghua decides to give up on his CEO and revive his lacklustre acting career instead. But why does it seem the more Shang Qinghua tries to distance himself from Mobei-Jun, the clingier that man becomes!?

    "Spy on Mobei-jun, he said; it’ll be fun, he said."

    These are the words Shang Qinghua utters in frustration as he suffers doing exactly as Shen Qingqiu asked—spying on Mobei-jun and hugging his thigh, all so he doesn't get turned into mincemeat while trying to gather info on the ice demon for Cang Qiong Mountain.

    But even as Shang Qinghua manages to start earning the trust of Mobei-jun and his demons, pretending to be a spy on Cang Qiong Mountain for them, things get more complicated when Mobei-jun's treacherous uncle—Linguang-jun—and his apparent fiancée show up. Especially since Linguang-jun keeps hinting at wanting Shang Qinghua's help.

    Mobei-jun doesn't react well to his upcoming marriage; his succession ceremony is coming up, so his fiancée and Linguang-jun are likely scheming something. Shang Qinghua feels bad Mobei-jun has no chance to experience true love, so somehow...while trying to comfort him, he ends up becoming his...partner to practice kissing??? He assumes it's just so he has a chance to hone his charm for the princess (right?), but what's he to do when his heart starts fluttering for Mobei-jun?

    Falling for the enemy probably isn't the best idea, huh?
