Yaz’s problems, tonight, in no particular order: the TARDIS is dripping ooze, the Doctor’s bleeding internally and being annoyingly quiet about it, the seven thousand Flux refugees they’ve rescued from the upward tropics of Kinstarno would really like some sandwiches, and Dan is still too polite to ask where they keep the soup. Oh. And she’s in love. Business as usual.

Summary
The park bench under the tree by the apartments has been Yaz’s spot for years. It’s where she’s ran off to ever since she was a girl and she was upset. It’s a calming presence, but it’s not enough to calm her sufficiently right now.
She thought she was getting better at faking it. To her boss, to her coworkers, to her family. She’d been so proud. Three weeks after she walked out of a TARDIS that wasn’t the one she loved, three weeks since she’d watched it vanish, probably back to wherever it came from, and she thought she’d finally got the hang of pretending to be fine. And it looks like she figured it out too late.
Complete canon divergence after Timeless Child because, well, I started writing it before there was any canon after it to diverge.

Summary
Princess Yasmin Khan had been raised knowing two things.
The first, is that the war will never end.
However when that was proven wrong, she learnt the second: That one day she will be the wife of the living Goddess of Gallifrey.
To most people, the first was no longer relevant, a memory of knowledge now shifted to victory or defeat depending on where you kept your feet.
To Yaz it became all the more relevant when she realised the meaning of the second.
