The world was overwhelming. Everything was too much. Why wouldn’t everything just slow down for a minute so she could catch up?
Essentially an angsty Marinette fic, this is what I think would be a more realistic depiction of how the bullying and mistrust from her friends might have affected her.

Summary
So maybe he had been getting headaches and nosebleeds a little more frequently then usual but that wasn’t really an issue, what with having had three concussions over the past few years. Headaches and bloody noses just weren’t really that big of a deal to him.
And so what if the increase in nightmares that he had, had that week were leaving him more sleep deprived than usual. It was probably just stress. Max being cursed, Chrissy, Fred and Patrick’s murders, Jason, all of those things would cause extra stress.
And maybe if he had actually gotten more then three hours of broken up sleep a night he would have dealt with this better.

“This is a pool party Steve” said a voice that sounded suspiciously like the middle Wheeler child “what do you think we’re doing?”
The question was clearly rhetorical.
Now Steve may not be the smartest. Far from it in reality but even he could sense the implications behind the teens words.
They were going to put him in the pool.
Or: Steve really, really hates that pool.

“Jeez, you really are sick.” Will muttered and Mike choked out a laugh.
“‘S just my luck.” He murmured, ignoring the way his head spun when he lifted it from the toilet seat.
Even under the harsh white light of the bathroom, Will still looked good, his honey brown eyes furrowed in concern and lips slightly parted. He was beautiful, and Mike wanted to bite him.
He recoiled a bit at the thought but now that he had thought it, it wouldn't go away. He could imagine it, digging his teeth into Will’s wrist, blood beading from the teeth marks faster than he could lick it up. The rushing in his ears got louder, twin heartbeats thudding in his ears and Mike turned to heave into the toilet again, not even bothering to stop the sobs that were ripping through him.

"You left me," Mike says, gravely serious but somehow still so young in his demeanour, brow a little heavier than usual, lips still pouty. Will frowns too, rubbing at Mike's arm, feeling the soft hairs underneath his palm and loving him over and over again.
"Uh-huh." Mike doesn't elaborate again. "You're being very vague –"
"For someone else. In my dream," he finally mutters before burying his face back into Will's arm, leaving the rest of his comment muffled, though the brokenness of it can still be made out. "You broke up with me in my dream for… someone else."
