Summary
Faint crackling electricity, like the fabric of a windbreaker rubbing against itself, covering the sound of shifting rubble and settling dust. It’s a sound Katsuki’s heard a thousand times before, usually preceded with a shout from Deku saying One For All-
“Full Cowling,” Katsuki whispers, staring and grasping for words. “What the fuck.”
Deku is standing near Katsuki’s feet, back bowed forward like Atlas and body lit up with a green so bright it’s incandescent. Blackwhip escapes from his arms in countless tendrils, lightning arcs off his body every second, and there’s a faint tremble running through his legs.
He’s terrifying. He’s beautiful.
He’s holding the fucking building on his shoulders.

The district had to wait ten days to drop a student from the roster without paperwork from their new school, but surely there was some kind of regulation or exception for when a student had–

Summary
Danny woke gasping, a searing pain radiating through his neck. His hands went up, fingers seeking, the chains bound around his wrists jingling like bells, beads of hot wax sliding down his arms. A heavy collar was wrapped around his neck, cold and comforting. The upper part cupped his chin and jaw and curved to touch the base of his skull. The lower part flared to rest on his breastbone and shoulders, distributing its weight.
It was unexpected. So much so that, for a long moment, Danny forgot he hadn’t expected to wake up at all.
