Charles died on a Sunday morning, in an old attic, with only the ghost of a dead boy for company.
This is a retelling (or more of a translation of the comic into written form) of the Sandman issue #25, the first comic that the Dead Boy Detectives appear in. I hope this is helpful for anyone who, like me, isn't able to read comics very well and would better enjoy the story written out.

Summary
Set after book 5 and sort of during season 6. An AU assuming Jon Snow is actually the son of Rhaegar Targaryen and end up joining with Daenerys when she comes to Westeros. Robb and Catelyn Stark, along with most of their men survived the Red Wedding but end up as Targaryen prisoners and they're very shocked to see Jon Snow of all people sitting on the Iron Throne when they arrive in King's Landing.

Four more people come stumbling through the doors - a short-haired girl in camouflage with a kid wearing what looks like the top half of a ghillie suit on her back, the kid hollering at the top of his lungs for a doctor like he’s on the brink of death. The reporter grabs the short-haired girl, stopping her from running directly into a frozen onlooker because she’s busy looking over her shoulder at a boy in a leather jacket right behind her, his face pulled tight with pain as he carries a limp, unmoving body, their head tipped back, pale face smeared with blood in the unforgiving halogen lights -
“Help him!” the kid is screaming, “Somebody, please -”
Oh, Wayne thinks, oh, oh, oh.or; wayne munson finds himself at hawkins memorial on march 27th.

Well, he’s built up quite the debt for getting Eddie out of trouble.
He just didn’t expect payment in the form of babysitting one Steve Harrington, battered, bloody and hunted after the mall fire.
So long a he can keep everyone safe—Steve (from the people hunting him), Eddie (from himself), and his own damn self (from a house full of teenagers), he can keep his perfect record as a man who repays his debts.
