    He’s almost to his car when he gets a text from Daniel, who seems to think stalking Lestat is a fun new hobby everyone should get in on: “Hey do you think this is about you?” and a link.

    He listens. Thrice. First, a general sense of insult overtakes him. The second time, he decides Lestat is going on about the same bullshit as always—you’re red, I’m blue, quite a rush to the altar, chéri—third, he thinks he might hear Lestat being sad at the end there, and his heart aches. He does, in fact, think this is about him. Actually, Louis thinks it is so much about him, he’s already looking up Lestat’s tour schedule and calling his pilot. If Lestat wants to play, he's got a game for him.

    Or: Louis gets mad, even, and in over his head. Lestat's (not) really sorry, he wants to give Louis a present. Some cycles break, some remain the same.
