Summary
“I’m not a violent person,” Pattadol responds, more on instinct than anything else.
Cithis makes an amused sound, not quite a laugh. “You have no idea what you are. Or what you’ll become.”
“I know I’m not like you.”
“Because you’re so much better?”
“I’m not a criminal.”
“Why are you here then? Do you find this honourable?” Cithis leans close, places a hand on Pattadol’s face, who blinks but does not pull away. “Our little sacrificial lamb. Though you weren’t raised for the slaughter, were you? They just picked whomever they needed least. Is that better or worse, do you think? At least I chose a life for myself. What have you ever chosen?”

Summary
Epel sometimes wonders what the moon would taste like, if it would be sugary or salty, or maybe biter like when your medicine capsule melts and you taste the bitter powder inside and hastily chase it down with water. He thinks it would fizzle, that it would shimmer on the tongue like starlight and explode like pop rocks with enough time.
OR
Deuce is a starsender. This tugs feelings and secrets out of Epel that he wasn't expecting.

Summary
Epel has a problem. He has a crush on Jack and he does not appreciate it at all. What is he going to do about it? A late-night run-in with a certain hunter finds Epel doing the one thing he thought he would never do, which is talk about his feelings and ask for advice.
So this is technically a ship fic between Epel and Jack, but there's also a heavy focus on Rook and Epel's relationship as the main plot is more Rook giving Epel advice.
