“Why did you submit yourself to the trials of Wotan?” Taehyung exhaled, once more pushing for the truth of Yoongi’s heart. He wanted to know what had motivated the alpha to make such a choice. Was his desire to advance so strong that it outweighed his desire to live? “A handsome alpha like you could have any omega he wants.”
Taehyung lifted the horn to gesture to the crowd around them as his gaze flitted momentarily across them. He swallowed roughly as an unfamiliar emotion bit his insides. That the alpha before him could look at another the way he was gazing at him at that moment made him uneasy.

He hates this. Fucking hates that he loves this, the pendulum swinging, never still, constantly curving across boundaries. It’s a sick thrill that thrums beneath his skin. Anger and arousal are one in the same; at least, Taehyung’s body registers them as interchangeable, now that they’ve done this so many times, straddling the line until he can’t see it even if he squints.
And sometimes it begins this way— Yoongi’s crass habits that strikes Taehyung where it hurts most. Then the pain translates to anger, brooding silence. He’s not sure where pleasure fits into the routine, though. He always wants Yoongi, of course. No matter if they’re arguing or if Taehyung is distraught to tears, prepared to pack his things and leave, he’ll still look into Yoongi’s eyes and feel tulips blossom through his gut.
