Ironic, for someone theoretically so successful to keep fumbling around the things he wants the most.
Still, he keeps on trying, because if Chuuya has taught him anything, it’s the power of stubborn resilience even when Dazai feels tempted to give up the most.
And so he tries, on and on.

"I wouldn't be bothering you if it wasn't important, Chuuya-san," Akutagawa says, his tone apologetic.
"You're not bothering me. Just..." Chuuya sighs and tosses an inconspicuous, wistful glance in the general direction of his bedroom. He folds his arms. "Whatever. Doesn't matter. What do you need?"
As Akutagawa is telling him about the pretext of this errand and the documents he requires--
"Chibi's taking too long! Who's at the door?"
There comes Dazai in all his bandaged, half-naked, black boxers glory, filling the doorway behind Chuuya, his arms braced against the doorframe.

“The Port Mafia is ruthless, and Mori even more so. He wouldn’t be above sacrificing others if it would push him closer to his goals. That’s why I left,” he explained, hoping the others would understand.
“Oh,” Atsushi said, a little confused. “I thought you left because you accidentally declared your love to Chuuya-san in a meeting.”
Dazai gasped. “That was an executive meeting!” he screeched. “How could you possibly know that?”
(or: Dazai has a crush, Chuuya just wonders how the pathetic kitten he picked up at 15 managed to survive this long)
