Francesca choked on nothing, stuttering out, “Thanks- thank you.” Her other hand was still in Michaela’s. “I- I like your dress as well.”
“I wasn’t referring to your dress,” she whispered, taking her hand back and leaning in just a fraction. “See you at school on Monday.”
“Yes, yes you will.” Francesca’s eyes were glued to the other woman as she turned on her heel and sauntered out the door. “Well, actually, I don’t do drop off on Mondays! It’s usually my mum, but I’ll for sure see you Tuesday!”
Michaela nodded, grinning. “Until then, Ms. Kilmartin.”
OR
Michaela is Fran's daughter's kindergarten teacher, and Francesca has a lot of feelings about it.

Summary
Dr Cassie McKay slowly approached her 10th year of sobriety, but she felt her mental health slowly deteriorating and the cravings returning. After a particularly triggering shift, something snapped and she found herself on the edge of a relapse. Despite their relationship being strictly friendly coworkers (who secretly have feelings for each other that they've hidden for years), she called Dana Evans in the middle of the night to intervene. Dana was able to save Cassie from her worst impulses, and it changed everything between the two.
Cassie and Dana try to figure out what their relationship means through recovery, mental health crises, and learning to be who you really are later in life.
