Summary
As they broke into the ship, sliding quietly along a shockingly understaffed storage deck, no one thought to grab Lance. To touch base, maybe mention that the priority was the prisoners of higher standing with bigger pockets, which required a level of secrecy and nonchalance. And this requirement would need him to contain his emotions throughout the mission, even if his teammates were to fall or get injured. Even if he found Keith and wasn’t pleased with his treatment. He would need to remain calm. The monarchs were the priority.
This lack of forethought led to what is considered one of the worst intergalactic shipwrecks of all time. After all, Keith Kogane was always Lance’s first priority.

After Keith is abducted, Lance fights to get on a Blades mission to break into a Galran ship imprisoning hundreds. He keeps his own mission to himself. Step 1: follow orders until he can’t. Step 2: find Keith in the prison and break him out. Step 3: kill anything that slows him down.

When Keith and Lance are captured by a creature that can drain any being of quintessence, both go to extreme lengths to save the other. This is a story of how you can come from feeling everything, only for it to be taken away.

Lance turns to face the window and starts to work on removing his chest plate. "I don't know about you, dude, but I'm tired. Can we do this later?"
Lance hears what he can only call a growl behind him, and the hair rises on the back of his neck. His skin tingles and he has to bite down on the inside of his cheek to bring the sudden frenzy of thoughts to a stop. Wow, okay. That's… something. "Your 'later' is never."
"That works, too!" Lance chirps. The chest plate comes off, and he tosses it to the side with the others. He starts to fiddle with his belt, but Keith's next words have him freezing.
"Why did you kiss me?"

This is Debaser but with trans Billy. I personally consider this the true version.
Sometimes I just want to read stuff with people who have my anatomy and sometimes dysphoria kicks my ass, so I wanted to make a version of this for either occasion. Gonna do my best to update both at the same time moving forward.
Before, they were only as close as Billy let anyone get, but lately the distance between them has been shrinking. He’s not the kind of guy who likes to talk about himself. Mostly he listens, prods, collects, but never offers. He learned young that when you’ve got a brain like he does you can’t afford to tell people what you’re thinking or how you really feel. Stu isn’t one of those people though, Stu has to keep his thoughts secret too and now this is theirs to keep, between them.
