Summary
Harry was about to begin his fifth year at Hogwarts.
Cedric—dead. Dumbledore—where is he? Ron and Hermione—prefects. Sirius—hidden away. Talking to Cho—impossible.
Harry's life was getting more and more complicated and he was starting to think that life was a little too fond of drenching him in (metaphorical and literal) stinksap.
He didn't think, however, that anything with or about Neville Longbottom would change, but as the stinksap was wiped off his glasses, he began to see his uncoordinated and forgetful friend—and himself—in a new light.

"Everyone says Hufflepuff are a lot o' duffers"
"Imagine being in Hufflepuff, I think I'd leave, wouldn't you?"
Harry didn't understand the anti-Hufflepuff rhetoric. After meeting a certain Slytherin pureblood blond in Diagon Alley, he met two friendlier Hufflepuff-bound blonds who shared his love for plants. His new fellow plant nerd friends all wanted to be in Hufflepuff, so he thought it couldn't be a bad house. And so Harry joined the badgers and donned the black and yellow.
In other words, Harry's a Hufflepuff, loves his plants, and becomes best friends with Ernie Macmillan and Neville Longbottom.

"No, I'm sorry," breaks in Remus, shaking his head, taking another step back, moving away from the door. "I should have known. Harry said – "
"Harry," groans Sirius, his head tipping backwards over his shoulders, eyes rolling to the ceiling.
Andromeda turns, hiding a snicker. She catches sight of Harry peeking through the door and passes him a delightful grin.
Or: Harry has a happy life with Sirius, but his dad is lonely. Harry decides to find him a boyfriend.

Summary
Remus is a PhD student and hobbyist baker who finds himself adrift following his father’s death. On a whim, he enters the Great British Bake Off and is swept up in a flurry of curdled custard, shrunken souffle, and under-proved dough. Remus expects to be challenged and to embarrass himself on public television. What he doesn’t account for are the friendships he develops with the other contestants and the deep connection he forms with his teenage crush, Sirius Black: charming ex-boy band member and Bake Off presenter.

Summary
Sirius plays the game. Even though he makes it all the way to New York City, still he works for his father's company, still he capitulates to his parents' every stupid demand, he thinks: when Regulus, his brother ten years his junior, is old enough and can make his own choices, Sirius can leave all this shit behind. Every day feels like a waiting game, life on pause until the perfect conditions are met and finally he can live the life he wants to live it.
But now Regulus is old enough, and it's still the same old bullshit with no end in sight, and Sirius is drowning. Until one day, a Teaching Assistant crashes his motorcycle at his feet.
