    Summary

Jaskier gets jumped by a bunch of bandits, who happen to be so dumb as to stab him with an ancient artifact. When he wakes up, the bandits are slaughtered, and Jaskier has a new hunger. He decides he can't and won't live like this, and searches out a witcher to kill him when he's unsuccessful himself. Of course......he finds Geralt, or does Geralt find him?

    ---000---
When Jaskier wakes up, the light is uncommonly bright to his eyes, and he has to squint against it. He’s not sure he remembers going to sleep the previous night, and briefly accuses himself of gulping down the bottle of Toussainti wine he’d filched from the inn, leaving a few crowns in its place.

He rubs his hands over his face, and realises that as he does so, the strange metallic scent that hangs in the air gets stronger. When he pulls his hands away to look at his palms, he stiffens. There are red stains on the skin, some of it dried and flaking in the creases.

    It’s very definitely not wine.

    Summary

The Leshy had been the final fucking straw.
For decades, Eskel had found himself increasingly sick of walking the Path and living the life of monsters and money.
He had spent most of his life being hated for something he had no choice in: becoming a mutant.
It was thankless work, people didn’t want to pay even when he’d bested their monster, and everyone was afraid of him.
But winter came yet again as Eskel made his way up to Kaer Morhen, badly injured by a fucking Leshy, of all things,
And by the time Eskel was deemed free of the Leshy and able to rest, everyone else in the Keep was wrapped around the fingers of Geralt’s daughter, Ciri.
So when the pass was clear enough for travel in the spring, Eskel had made up his mind: he was done with doing what was expected of him.
    Eskel wanted to retire.
In years bygone, Eskel had spent some time in Oxenfurt, sitting in on whatever classes at the University that allowed mutants, and he’d thoroughly enjoyed that pursuit of knowledge, though he could never afford the tuition to attend as a student.
And that is how Eskel found himself sneaking silently into a lecture on music theory given by “Professor Julian Pankratz”.

    Summary

Jaskier adjusted the lute on his back, the city of Cintra on the horizon. He had not met any friends on his travels to the city, but then again, he hadn’t expected to do so. He was with several other bards, all responding to the call Cintra had made for bards to make a song cycle about Queen Cirilla’s reign. Even with his hasty exit from Redania, he managed to send a letter to a friend who he hoped would be a friendly face in the city, though they had not parted well.

The young queen was shrouded in mystery with a bit of infamy. Everyone knew that she was claimed by the Law of Surprise by the Butcher of Blaviken. The deranged witcher brought some of his witcher friends when Nilfgaard tried to conquer Cintra. Though Cirilla was only twelve at the time, her powers combined with the witchers were able to keep Cintra from the edge of defeat, though her grandmother still lost her life in the process. At the age of twelve, she was put on the throne, despite not being of age.

    Summary

The king of Kerrack acted foolishly and as a reward ended up swinging above the gate of his own castle. It's just one more day of dealing with unnecessary politics for Geralt. At least until the king's omega son requests an audience and offers a deal that the Warlord would be foolish to refuse.

Jaskier has been a free bard for over twenty years when his father captures him. When the Warlord of the North seeks revenge and kills the king, he doesn't hesitate to make use of the opportunity. He will go north to gather new song material, help solve a political situation, and while he's at it, he might take a bite of the Warlord as well.

    Summary

In a world where soulmates appear in dreams during times of greatest need, fate weaves its threads in silence.

When Julian Pankratz was just eight, his beloved mother died, leaving him alone in the care of a father who saw no worth in his half-elf son and ultimately sold him into slavery.

Sold to a witch who typically keeps him in the shape of a Lark, only changing him back into his human form when she has a task for him. Stripped of his name, Julian became Jaskier, enduring years of hardship tempered only by nightly visits from a silent dream-wolf—his unseen protector.

Meanwhile, Geralt of Rivia rose as the Warlord of the North, uniting witchers beneath his banner. Yet, even with power and armies at his command, Geralt could not ignore the recurring dreams, his soulmate. Determined to find the mysterious lark, he sent word across the realm, unaware that the soul fated for him was a slave boy named Jaskier.
